CollegePlus! has asked professors around the country what they think about distance learning and credit by exam. Every professor we’ve asked has not only responded favorably, but has wholeheartedly endorsed CollegePlus! and its innovative degree completion program.
Here are several quotes from professors that tell the story. Incidentally, all but one professor have asked to be quoted anonymously. After all, they could jeopardize their livelihood if they went on record bashing traditional higher education. Here’s what the professors have to say:
Dr. Cham Dallas, a professor and department head at the University of Georgia, feels free to speak out in favor of CollegePlus! and accelerated distance learning. In fact, he has encouraged two of his children to avoid UGA’s undergrad program and has enrolled them in CollegePlus! Here’s what he has to say about the groundbreaking CollegePlus! approach to higher education:
“After 20 years of watching young Christians deteriorate in a secular university system, it's encouraging to see the opportunity CollegePlus! offers young Christians to get an accredited college degree without exposure to that process.”
Just how secular is the American university system? The following statistics from the North American Academic Study Survey make the humanism in higher education faculty very evident:
Dallas has noticed the positive reaction to the ever-growing wave of students completing their bachelor’s degrees through distance learning. “We’re on the cusp of a change,” he said. The number of professors who accept online degrees “is increasing every day.”
Despite this revolution in higher education, it still has detractors. “There are still the dinosaurs [in academia]—they are the real conservatives,” Dallas said.
For the record’s sake, Dr. Dallas’s oldest son after completing his business degree through CollegePlus! went on to complete his master’s in public health and graduated third in his class at the United Sates Marine Corps Officer Candidate's School earlier this year.
Woody Robertson is VP of Sales and Marketing at CollegePlus!. He and his lovely wife Gina reside in the San Antonio area. Shawn Cohen lives near Woody and hasn't been bitten by the love bug yet.
Are college campuses bastions of diversity or indoctrination stations? You decide.
