You may not like his ideas. And you may not agree with his belief system. But Steve Jobs did something for nobodies like me, and for the somebodies of tomorrow.

Steve Jobs gave us permission to be maniacal about what we create—to be ruthless about bringing our ideas to life—to be unapologetic about being unsatisfied with nothing but our best.

CollegePlus! has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with the company Steve Jobs started in his garage at the age of 21. Hundreds of thousands giving iPads to CollegePlus! students so they could use this innovative piece of technology to learn and earn their degrees while pursuing entrepreneurship, original-thinking, doing, and giving—the kind of robust life Steve Jobs lived.

Like Steve Jobs, CollegePlus! students are outliers. Outliers because they don’t follow the masses, they lead. Outliers because they want to make their own way and leave their own mark on the world. Outliers because no amount of criticism can stop them from achieving greatness.

Steve Jobs gave CollegePlus! students, who are the somebodies of tomorrow, the blueprint for subverting mediocrity and delivering the extraordinary.
