Global Encounters Essay Contest

Here’s how to enter:
Write an original essay in 500-750 words that answers the question “What is missions and how can you be involved?” Send your essay to contest@globalencounter.net by March 31st. Be sure to include your name, age, address, and phone number.
Winners will be announced April 12th.

Contest Rules
Entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges, including representatives of Global Encounters, based upon relevance to the essay topic, innovation, and clarity of expression. The decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all matters. Winners will be announced on or about April 12th, 2011.

Contest is open to citizens of the United States and Canada between the ages of 15-23 with the participant's age being calculated on April 12th, 2011. Contest is void where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law.
By entering, writers grant Global Encounters the right to use their essay in any form, including but not limited to, print, e-mail, and the Internet. For entrants under 18, prizes cannot be awarded until entrant's parent or legal guardian has been notified and has signed a release within ten days allowing Global Encounters to use the child's essay, name, likeness and/or age.
Prizes are awarded in the form of certificates redeemable toward a Global Encounters mission trip. Awards expire two years from date of issue. Winners must complete a Global Encounters mission trip application within ten days of winning and be accepted as a team member. Failure to meet these qualifications will result in the prizes being awarded to the next runners-up.
No purchase is necessary. Internet access and a valid e-mail address are required to enter. Multiple submissions by the same author are not accepted. Employees or family members of Global Encounters staff are not eligible to participate.

Do we have to include our name, age, phone #, and address in the essay or in the email we send to Global Encounters?
