Homeschooling skyrockets in the US: Why not for college too?

Stocks

The Department of Education recently found that 83% of homeschool parents have decided to educate their children at home from "a desire to provide religious or moral instruction."

So why stop homeschooling to send children to a secular college campus when they could get that same degree from home, while still in high school?

Incidentally, Dr. Brian Ray of the National Home education Research Institute has concluded that the population of homeschooled students has skyrocketed by 74% since 1999. These students typically score much higher than their peers on achievement tests, making it apparent that a personalized approach to education is much more effective than the conveyor belt system children are put on when they attend public school.
