How to Prepare

You need to maintain a BIG, overall perspective in this test because it covers so many areas of social science. If you get overwhelmed with all the material to learn, step back and see the broader picture of how each of the subjects interact with each other. It is important to pay attention to distinguishing aspects of each time period and people group, looking at styles, traditions, and trends which set that time apart from the others.

The broad nature of this exam can work to the student's advantage. Since there is so much material to be covered in a mere 120 questions, the exam won't include much detailed information on particular time periods, ancient people groups, or social theories.

When you are studying, keep in mind that most students tend to be a little weak in the world history area, so put a little extra effort into this.
