20 new coaches? Sounds like good things are happening. I'm a CollegePlus! student and I can say I really appreciate my coach. My coach has really kept me on track to finish my degree. I hope you find more great coaches!

I am currently a CollegePlus student but I am very interested in becoming a coach. I will be completing my degree with CP in December 2010. Do I have to completely finish my degree before I can become a CP coach?

Hi Alena. As a current CollegePlus! you definitely have an inside track and understanding for what it would take to be a coach, so it may not be necessary for you to finish before you can begin training as a coach. I would encourage you to email: opportunity@collegeplus.org. Thank you!

Hi! Do you have to be a former College Plus student to work as a coach? What type of training is required?

No, you do not have to be a CollegePlus! student or CollegePlus! grad to become a coach, this is not a requirement. All CollegePlus! coaches receive specialized training by our Master Trainer and Head Coach. CollegePlus! provides our coaches everything they need to become equipped to serve our students as a coach and mentor. I am interested in this position and see that one does not have to be college plus grad, but you mention having earned a degree through distance learning. Is this a preference or a requirement? Also, is there a closing date. I am out of town for next 10 days without resume and want to submit upon my return.

Hi Christine. No, it is not a requirement for you to have earned your degree through distance learning to be a CollegePlus! coach.

At this point there's no closing date for when we're accepting new coach applications. When you return feel free to send your resume.
