CollegePlus! Students in the News
While Major Monday is on a brief summer vacation, we wanted to take this opportunity to share what some of our students have been up to. As CollegePlus! continues to grow, our students and coaches are making headlines around the country. Here are just a few who have been in the news lately:
- Brittany Barden, Social Science - Home Educating Family Magazine recently published an interview with Brittany that first ran on Natalie Wickham's blog. The three page interview can be found on page 50 in the current issue of Home Educating Family Magazine. Brittany was also recently interviewed for the CollegePlus! blog and Facebook page.
- Max Feaster, International Business - This 18 year old student recently made headlines when he paddled his way to victory in the 2010 Texas Water Safari. He became the youngest person to ever win the C-1 canoe class, paddling 261 miles in under 50 hours. - Jordan Smith - General Management - When Jordan started Incredibooks, he didn't know that his casual blog would turn into a full-fledged reviewing site. With a staff of his closest friends, the Incredibooks team has reviewed more than 500 books. He was recently interviewed by a local Christian radio station. You can listen to it here and check out his interview on the CollegePlus! Facebook page.
- Heather Kern - One of our top coaches was recently quoted by the College Board. Heather took 20 CLEP tests and the College Board highlighted her testimony. You can read it here.
