Imagine having to memorize hundreds of Bible verses in a few short months. Sounds hard, doesn't it? Now imagine having to recite those verses on stage while having a time limit. The Mieczkowski and Reynold families from CollegePlus! have students competing at the National Bible Bee this weekend.
The journey started in May, when the students had to register for the event. They weren't given the list of Bible verses until June 1st, giving them a summer to memorize up to 800 verses. The most basic level of competition started with a requirement of 250 Bible verses.
Siblings Alison and John Reynolds, both actively pursing their degrees through CollegePlus!, have made it to the finals in Schaumburg, Illinois by memorizing 800 Bible verses. They will be competing against each other in the Senior Division. Their younger sister, Natasha, will be competing in the Primary Division.
CP! sibling Melody Mieczkowski will also be competing with the Reynold siblings. Listen to her radio interview about making it to the National Bible Bee.

The National Bible Bee winners have a chance of winning up to $100,0000. You can watch the Bible Bee action here.

I am both a student with CollegePlus! and was in the local branch of the BIble Bee. Two of my siblings advanced to the national level as well as another friend of ours.
I very much enjoyed the entire experience.
Thanks so much for having this story. It really made my day. :)
