How it Works

CoYC is a four-month mentor-directed program based on four main phases:

Phase 1 - Student Qualification (before enrollment)

After paying a $199 application fee, our degree consultant staff will perform a preliminary assessment to determine whether the CoYC program will work with your particular school and degree choice. Our staff will discover:

The quantity of Credit by Examination (CbE) hours applicable to the program the student is targeting.
A comparison between taking the courses directly from the target university (as a normal student) compared with a detailed cost/benefits analysis for completing these credits through CollegePlus!.
Any variances on the schools CbE acceptance policies and the particular process in place for matriculating these credits into the school.
A time and feasibility estimate, based upon the results of the Critical Thinking Skills exam (which will be administered upfront as part of the initial research request) and applicant's overall academic background.

Upon completion of this assessment, you will be sent a detailed Valuation and Proposed Agreement. Your Program Advisor will speak with you specifically about the findings to discuss whether this meets your needs and you will have the option to enroll.

Phase 2, In-Depth Research (after enrollment)

Once the student is enrolled with CollegePlus!, our experienced Degree Consultants will go to work over a several week process to execute more in-depth research regarding which specific exams can be accepted (toward the degree of choice) and their specific credit value. All of this research will then be collated into a comprehensive degree template which will include all available courses to be earned through CollegePlus! and transferred into the school of choice. Careful attention will be made to research the admissions requirements and timeline for the targeted degree program.

Phase 3 - Individual Coaching in Study Skills & Credit By Exam

During this phase you will be paired with one of our knowledgeable CollegePlus! coaches who will guide you step-by-step through learning essential study skills. The Speed Reading, Dynamic Memory and Advanced Communication programs will dramatically increase your effectiveness both during your enrollment with CollegePlus! as well as your future enrollment at the college of your choice helping you study smarter and more efficiently.

Next you will start earning your credits. During this phase your coach will help you understand how to study each exam using our comprehensive Study Modules. These modules are comprised of advanced study guides, practice tests and assorted materials designed to accelerate your understanding of the subject being studied. A biweekly call from your coach will ensure that you are on schedule and making the necessary progress towards enrollment with the school of your choice.

Phase 4 - Enrollment at the School of Choice

This phase is focused on preparing the student towards interaction with the admissions department of the school of choice. Students will be provided with key information related to enrollment at the institution. This phase ensures successful acceptance at the school of choice.
