Host a College From Home seminar in your own community for those who want to learn more about Accelerated Distance Learning! These interactive seminars are scheduled regularly around the country and feature many topics and workshops to tailor-fit the needs of your group. Seminars are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, so give us a call today!
Responsibilities of the Host
As a seminar host, you'll be asked to:
- Locate a facility for the event
- Assist in advertising locally
We will provide you with an e-flyer with seminar details that can be mailed or emailed to local churches, schools and homeschool groups.
Registration Cost
In order for us to cover the cost of travel, we ask that 30 families be registered three weeks prior to your event. The early registration is $19.95 per family and ends three weeks prior to the event. Late registration, all the way up to registering at the door, is $29.95.
Two Seminar Formats
We offer our seminars in two formats: Our all-day seminar is typically held on a Saturday from 9am-3pm or weekdays 3pm-9pm (with an hour lunch or dinner break). This is our most comprehensive seminar where we are able to go into the most depth regarding the different components of Distance Learning and Study Skills in four sessions. The second option is our half day format, which is a more abbreviated version and is typically 3 sessions done in an evening from 7-10pm.

2. Dual Credit On Steroids: Your First Year Under $500
Who says you need to be in a classroom for an entire semester to earn college credit? With Credit by Exam, students can earn college credit in over 300 standardized subject exams, commonly known as CLEP and DSST exams.
This powerful and insightful session introduces you to several established Credit by Exam programs to save money and time while never setting foot in a college classroom. Have you ever asked how our Founding Fathers earned their degrees? This practical session focuses on how students can maximize their study by incorporating the Accelerated Distance Learning method into their homeschool schedule. Topics covered include: the foundations of effective learning, balancing academics and spiritual development and earning college credit while still in high school. 4. Study Like a Genius: Unlocking Your Brain
All learning is founded on one key—the ability to take in information and then remember it. Unfortunately, most students are never taught how to effectively learn. Each school year, students spend countless hours studying, only to have the information seemingly disappear when they need it most.
In this interactive session, you will learn how to use study tools such as speed reading and memory techniques to increase your study potential many times over and to make what you’re learning stick! Discover practical ways to implement memory tools such as the “peg” system in academics, work, or everyday life.
