Host a College From Home seminar in your own community for those who want to learn more about Accelerated Distance Learning! These interactive seminars are scheduled regularly around the country and feature many topics and workshops to tailor-fit the needs of your group. Seminars are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, so give us a call today!
Responsibilities of the Host
As a seminar host, you'll be asked to:
- Locate a facility for the event
- Assist in advertising locally
We will provide you with an e-flyer with seminar details that can be mailed or emailed to local churches, schools and homeschool groups.
Registration Cost
In order for us to cover the cost of travel, we ask that 30 families be registered three weeks prior to your event. The early registration is $19.95 per family and ends three weeks prior to the event. Late registration, all the way up to registering at the door, is $29.95.
Two Seminar Formats
We offer our seminars in two formats: Our all-day seminar is typically held on a Saturday from 9am-3pm or weekdays 3pm-9pm (with an hour lunch or dinner break). This is our most comprehensive seminar where we are able to go into the most depth regarding the different components of Distance Learning and Study Skills in four sessions. The second option is our half day format, which is a more abbreviated version and is typically 3 sessions done in an evening from 7-10pm.

What does a student need to be successful today? For many families, answering the college question is a difficult task. Often the overall cost, time required, inefficiencies, and negative college environment are too great an obstacle. In this session, we lay out four proven tips to avoid the traps that prey on most traditional students. These tips can be used immediately to begin saving money and time on college and, most importantly, give your student a huge head-start on the competition. 2. Dual Credit On Steroids: Your First Year Under $500
Who says you need to be in a classroom for an entire semester to earn college credit? With Credit by Exam, students can earn college credit in over 300 standardized subject exams (The most common are CLEP and DSST exams).
This practical session will introduce you to the why, the what and the how of Credit by Exam programs which allow students to earn dual credit, saving you money and time without having to set foot in a college classroom. Attendees learn exam-specific study tips on the five general CLEP exams, which represent the equivalent of the first year of college. Come discover the best kept secret in higher education!

3. Bachelor's Degree by 18: What Colleges Don't Tell You
How did our Founding Fathers graduate from college at 15, 16, and 17 years old? This practical session gives an inspiring overview to what’s happened to education and how today’s students can maximize their high school study by incorporating a souped-up version of dual credit into their daily schedule using the curriculum they already own. Topics covered include: how to earn dual credit, how to record dual credit on a H.S. transcript, a suggested daily schedule, and many others. 4. Study Like a Genius: Unlocking Your Brain
All learning is founded on one key—the ability to take in information and then remember it. Most people are never taught how to effectively learn. Each school year, students spend countless hours studying, only to have the information seemingly disappear when they need it most.
Whether a parent or student, in this interactive and practical session, you will learn how to use study tools such as speed reading and memory techniques which will radically change the way you learn.
