Life Purpose Planning
Description and Purpose
The Bible-centered philosophy of living a purposeful life for the glory of God radiates into every aspect of the CollegePlus! program. For us, it all starts with your individual, God-ordained, world-changing life purpose. The Life Purpose Planning Workbook combined with the help of your certified Life Purpose Planning coach will help you carefully peel back the layers of your life so that you can recognize how God has been at work in your past, preparing you for this moment in history, while building a plan of action for future success.
According to a Bureau of Labor Statistics’ news release published in August 2006, people born between the years 1957 to 1964 held an average of 10.5 jobs from ages 18 to 40. We know that this number is only going to grow based on the changing dynamics of business and technology.
At CollegePlus!, we take a decidedly different approach to education and degrees than our college counterparts. We are less focused on pursuing a degree in order to "function within society" or "pursue a job/vocation," and more focused on helping our students understand their purpose in life and which degree would best equip them with the training and knowledge to best fulfill that purpose. We believe this to be a superior approach because statistically your vocation will likely change numerous times over the course of your life, but the purposes for which God created you will remain unchanged.
Course Overview
CollegePlus! is more than an academic discipline. It includes the spiritual exercise of discerning and pursuing what God has set before you. CollegePlus! students will:
Create a Being Purpose Statement
- A being purpose statement is a personal prayer expressing a heavenly focus and eternal perspective.
Create a Life Purpose Statement
- This statement combines who you feel God is calling you to be with what you feel He is calling you to do.
Discuss and Articulate:
- What Scripture has God used to provide clear direction for my future?
- What is the biggest need that I see in society?
- What group of people is God calling me to serve, influence, and encourage?
- What means, methods, life interests, ministry, or vocation will I use to reach this group?
- What is the message God has given me, and how will I share it with others?
- Have I identified and considered activators that trigger my creativity, spiritual gift, service, ministry, and delight?
- What significant, world-changing result might happen as I implement this purpose?
Develop a Long-Range Five-Year Vision
- Having a multi-year plan of action doesn’t “lock you in” to what you write down. Rather, it provides a framework for future decisions to be evaluated against. Aggressively pursue your purpose while you continue to seek God for His direction.

"A quick note of appreciation for all you at CollegePlus have done. There is so much more clarity of purpose to Rana's schooling now, as compared to a year ago, and we just feel like your staff there at CollegePlus! have had so much to do with that process. If she had gone into the dietetics degree on her own without input, we feel like she would definitely be at least a year behind where she is now. Thank you again for all you have done. Since she lives at home, we all feel part of the process. We are very thankful God led us to be involved with CollegePlus! when He did; it was certainly at the right time for Rana. Thanks again." —Lila J., Missouri
