CollegePrep is a one semester dual credit program for your student to earn 12 college credits and 2 high school credits for what they already know in core subjects like Math, Science, History, and Literature.
With a personal accountability mentor to deliver outside encouragement and guidance, your student will be directed through the entire process of earning college credit while becoming a motivated and self-directed learner who takes ownership of their education.
In addition to the accountability mentor for your student, you will have a Collegiate Consultant to help with the compilation of your student’s high school transcript and overall guidance throughout your student’s dual credit process.
Our goal at CollegePrep is to make dual credit as accessible to you and your family as possible.
CollegePrep launched in 2009 with the goal of making dual credit accessible to homeschoolers. Homeschooled students already do advanced coursework, so why not get college credit for it? Why should they do extra work or be forced to use methods (AP, Community College) that do not align well with homeschooling?
Improving incrementally over those early years, each CollegePrep student now has a personal Accountability Mentor, instead of being part of a group. We’ve also learned that dual credit is about so much more than the actual college credits earned. It is the process of becoming a strong student and test taker.
Every student is unique, with specific subject and thinking strengths. And we work to identify these to further help your child succeed in earning dual credit and growing into a young adult who loves learning.
The student experience isn’t the only thing that has changed since those early days. Parents are now paired with a Collegiate Consultant, someone who is not only a curriculum and dual credit specialist, but is also a homeschool mom who understands the challenges and blessings that go along with that role.
