Cost FAQs

How Much Should I Expect to Pay the First Year?

The CollegePlus! coaching fee does not cover books, course fees, college tuition, etc. We estimate that most students should plan to spend between $3,500–$4,000 for all expenses (including CP! tuition) during the first year:

Once you apply for the CollegePlus! program, your academic advisor will discuss in more detail the costs as they pertain to your specific educational goals.

Cost Comparison

The average cost for a degree obtained through CollegePlus! ranges from $10,000 to $15,000 depending on the degree obtained. When this is compared to similar degree programs at brick-and-mortar institutions, which range from $20,000–$150,000+, CollegePlus! is obviously an enormous bargain.

* There are a few exceptions for majors that require significant on-site study/lab/studio time.

In 2000, the median income for men ages 25–34 with a bachelor’s degree was $42,300.* This is 60% higher than the $26,400 average income for a man with only a high school degree.

Also worthy of consideration, is the fact that with CollegePlus! you are not only obtaining an academic education, you are being prepared for leadership through the skills and character you will develop.

Can I Remain on My Family’s Health Insurance Plan?

At a student’s request, CollegePlus! admissions can issue a letter stating that he is enrolled as a full-time student in good standing and is qualified to remain within his family’s healthcare plan. This letter has proven successful for those students who have requested it. Thomas Edison State College can also issue a similar letter once the student is enrolled with them.
